How to Install BoltBee

A warm welcome to the BoltBee Installation Assistant!

We are delighted to assist you in the smooth setup and installation of your BoltBee. Our aim is to make this process as easy and comprehensible as possible for you. In the following steps, we will guide you through the installation and ensure that you can utilize the interface optimally. Please follow the instructions carefully and do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or encounter any issues. Let’s get started together!

Before you proceed with the BoltBee Installation Assistant, you need to install the following prerequisites (basic requirements):

  1. .NET 6 Hosting Bundle (Original Link: https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/6.0)
  2. For Sage100 platforms, you need a functioning Sage application (Client) in your environment.
Following that, please proceed with the installation of BoltBee.

Once the installation is complete, you will see this window.

Please make sure that the BoltBee service is running under Windows.

Upon the initial launch, .NET 6 will make the following URL available: http://localhost:5000. Please log in with your credentials and input the license as outlined in Chapter 15 /manual/boltbee-manual/15-manage-your-credentials/.

Afterward, create licensed platforms as described in Chapter 11, following the instructions at https://boltbee.de/manual/boltbee-manual/11-create-a-new-platform/Once that is done, you can configure individual automations, as detailed in Chapter 14, available at https://boltbee.de/manual/boltbee-manual/14-set-up-automation/.

How to change the default Adress

By default, ASP.NET Core apps listen on the following URLs:

  • http://localhost:5000
  • https://localhost:5001

You can set environment variables in the usual way based on your environment. For example:

open “Environment variables”

Create a new Environment variable

  1. do not change the first Value 
  2. Enter your IP and the Port
